- Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Maraheb ("Maraheb," "we," "us," or "our").
Maraheb is a digital travel companion focused on Syria, offering destination information, travel discovery, AI-assisted recommendations, and related travel planning features.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of:

The Maraheb AI travel assistant.

By creating an account, accessing the application, or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please discontinue use of Maraheb.
Your use of Maraheb is subject to our Privacy Policy, available through our website and application.
Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

4.2 AI travel assistant
Users can ask questions about travel, destinations, attractions, itineraries, budgets, and related subjects.
The AI assistant provides information and suggestions based on available travel records and supported AI technology.
4.3 Accommodation and activity information
Maraheb may display information about hotels, guesthouses, accommodations, recreational activities, and tourism-related providers.
4.4 Travel planning
Users may receive suggestions for day trips, itineraries, and travel activities based on their preferences and the information available through the application.
4.5 Maps and directions
Maraheb may provide destination locations and links to external mapping applications.
4.6 Saved content and user accounts
Users may save destinations, maintain preferences, and access other account-related features where supported.
4.7 Reviews and feedback
Where supported, users may submit reviews, ratings, corrections, or reports about listed places and services.
4.8 Future features
Maraheb may introduce reservation services, additional travel tools, or paid features in the future.
The availability of any feature depends on the current version of the application, technical requirements, and operational coverage.
We do not guarantee that every feature will be available to every user or in every location.
- User Accounts
Certain features may require an account.
When creating or using an account, you agree to:

Protect access to your device and account.
Notify Maraheb if you suspect unauthorized account access.
Avoid allowing unauthorized individuals to use your account.
Maintain only accounts permitted under our usage rules.

Maraheb may restrict access to accounts involved in fraudulent activity, security violations, or repeated misuse.
- Guest Access and AI Usage Limits
Maraheb may allow limited access without a permanent account.
Guest access and free accounts may be subject to usage limits intended to maintain service availability and prevent abuse.
Current AI usage limits may include:
Guest access: 2 successful AI replies in total.
Free account access: 5 successful AI replies per day.
Free account access: 50 successful AI replies per calendar month.
Additional limits on repeated requests, automated activity, and request frequency.
Applicable limits may be displayed in the application.
We may adjust reasonable usage limits based on technical capacity, operating costs, misuse patterns, and changes to the service.
We will provide notice of significant changes where required by law.
Attempting to bypass usage limits through multiple accounts, automated requests, identity manipulation, or similar methods is prohibited.
- AI-Generated Content and Recommendations
Maraheb uses artificial intelligence to assist users with travel-related questions and planning.
The AI assistant may generate:
Destination suggestions.
Travel itineraries.
Activity recommendations.
Historical and cultural explanations.
Estimated budgets.
Travel planning suggestions.
Comparisons of places and activities.
7.1 Accuracy of AI responses
AI-generated responses may contain errors, incomplete information, outdated facts, or inaccurate interpretations.
Maraheb works to support its AI responses with approved travel information, but cannot guarantee that every response is accurate, complete, current, or appropriate for every situation.
7.2 Information requiring independent verification
Users should independently verify important details before making travel decisions, including:
Opening hours.
Ticket and entry prices.
Accommodation prices.
Business availability.
Road conditions.
Transportation schedules.
Travel restrictions.
Entry requirements.
Weather conditions.
Safety and security circumstances.
Reservation requirements.
7.3 No professional or official advice
AI recommendations are provided for general travel information and planning.
They are not a substitute for official government notices, professional safety guidance, medical advice, legal advice, or qualified travel assistance.
7.4 User responsibility
You remain responsible for evaluating travel recommendations and deciding whether to follow them.
You should consult appropriate official sources or relevant service providers whenever current information is needed.
7.5 AI service availability
The AI assistant may be temporarily unavailable due to technical problems, provider outages, maintenance, usage restrictions, or operational limits.
Maraheb may change the AI technology used to provide its services.
- Travel Information and Verification
Maraheb aims to provide useful travel information about Syria through locally informed content and reviewed sources.
Listings may contain:
Descriptions of destinations.
Photographs.
Geographic locations.
Opening information.
Prices.
Contact details.
Facilities and amenities.
Activity descriptions.
Verification information.
8.1 Verification labels
Certain listings may include verification indicators, such as "Locally Verified" or "Source Checked."
These indicators describe the information-checking process used for a listing.
They do not constitute a guarantee of continuing availability, business quality, safety, legal compliance, or suitability.
8.2 Changes in local conditions
Travel information can change without advance notice.
A business may change its opening hours, prices, services, or contact details. Roads and attractions may become temporarily inaccessible.
Maraheb cannot guarantee immediate updates following every change.
8.3 Reporting inaccurate information
Users are encouraged to report incorrect or outdated information through supported reporting features or by contacting info@maraheb.net.
Reports may be reviewed before any public listing is changed.
- Travel Safety and Personal Responsibility
Travel involves risks that vary by destination, route, season, and individual circumstances.
Users are responsible for making appropriate decisions concerning their personal safety.
Before traveling, users should consider:

Official travel and security guidance.
Road and transportation conditions.
Weather forecasts.
Accessibility requirements.
Personal health and mobility needs.
Local regulations.
Whether a destination is open to visitors.
Maraheb does not independently guarantee the safety of any destination, activity, route, accommodation, or service provider.
The inclusion of a destination in Maraheb does not mean that visiting it is risk-free or officially recommended.
Maraheb is not an emergency assistance service.
In an emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency services or competent authorities.
- Third-Party Businesses and Services
Maraheb may display information about independent businesses, including:
Hotels and guesthouses.
Restaurants and cafés.
Tourism operators.
Activity providers.
Cultural attractions.
Transportation providers.
Other tourism-related establishments.
Unless explicitly stated, these businesses operate independently from Maraheb.
The inclusion of a business does not establish an employment, agency, partnership, or endorsement relationship.
Independent providers are responsible for the services they offer, including their own prices, facilities, policies, operating standards, and legal obligations.
Maraheb may help users discover or contact these providers, but does not automatically become a party to a transaction between a user and an independent provider.
This does not exclude responsibility that Maraheb may have under applicable law or under an expressly agreed booking arrangement.
- Reservations and Booking Services
Maraheb may introduce or make available reservation functionality for participating accommodations and activities.
Booking functionality is available only where expressly activated within the application.
11.1 Booking requests
Where supported, users may submit a reservation request containing dates, number of guests, selected services, and other relevant details.
Submitting a request does not automatically confirm a booking.
11.2 Provider confirmation
A participating service provider must accept the applicable request and confirm the relevant offer before payment is requested.
An accommodation or activity is not considered available solely on the basis of appearing in the Maraheb directory.
11.3 Payments
When paid reservations are enabled, Maraheb may collect a reservation payment forming part of the total booking price.
Any remaining amount payable directly to the service provider will be disclosed before the user commits to payment.
The reservation payment is part of the stated total and is not an undisclosed additional charge.
The booking process must present the applicable:
Total reservation price.
Currency.
Amount payable through Maraheb.
Remaining amount payable to the provider.
Booking conditions.
Cancellation terms.
Refund rules.
A booking is confirmed only after the required provider acceptance and verified payment confirmation have been completed.
11.4 Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation and refund conditions may differ between providers, services, and offers.
The applicable terms will be disclosed before the user confirms a paid reservation.
Any refund will be handled according to the accepted booking conditions and applicable consumer protection law.
Maraheb will not apply an undisclosed cancellation charge or retroactively alter an accepted booking's financial terms without a lawful basis.
11.5 Provider responsibilities
Independent providers remain responsible for delivering the accommodation, activity, or other service they agree to provide.
Disputes about a booking may involve Maraheb, the provider, or both, depending on the relevant contractual responsibilities.
Any service-specific booking terms presented during checkout will supplement these Terms.
In the event of a conflict concerning an accepted reservation, the confirmed offer and its lawful service-specific terms govern that reservation, subject to mandatory legal protections.
- Fees and Paid Features
Maraheb's current free services are subject to applicable access and usage restrictions.
We may introduce paid services or premium features in the future.
Before a user purchases a paid digital feature, Maraheb will display the applicable price, payment conditions, renewal conditions, and cancellation information.
No paid subscription or recurring charge will be created merely through acceptance of these Terms.
If subscriptions are introduced, separate subscription conditions and applicable platform billing requirements will be provided.
- Acceptable Use
You agree to use Maraheb lawfully and responsibly.
You must not:
Use Maraheb for illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive purposes.
Provide false information intended to mislead other users.
Impersonate another person or organization.
Harass, threaten, or abuse other users or service providers.
Submit discriminatory, hateful, exploitative, or otherwise unlawful content.
Upload malware or harmful software.
Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, servers, or databases.
Interfere with the security or normal operation of Maraheb.
Use automated tools to generate excessive requests.
Bypass AI usage limits or security restrictions.
Scrape or extract large amounts of application data without authorization.
Copy or redistribute protected content in violation of intellectual property rights.
Misuse the AI assistant to obtain confidential system information.
Submit fabricated reviews or misleading reports.
Use the application to facilitate unlawful activities.
We may investigate suspected violations and take proportionate action to protect users, service providers, and the platform.
- User Reviews, Feedback, and Submitted Content
Certain features may allow users to submit reviews, ratings, photographs, reports, and other content.
By submitting content, you confirm that:
You have the necessary rights to submit it.
The information is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
Your submission does not unlawfully infringe another person's rights.
Your submission does not contain prohibited material.
Your submission complies with these Terms.
14.1 Ownership of submitted content
You retain ownership of content you create and submit, subject to any rights held by third parties.
By submitting content to Maraheb, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, display, format, and distribute that content within our services for the purposes of providing the feature you selected.
This license is limited to the uses needed for the service, its moderation, technical operation, and lawful recordkeeping.
14.2 Moderation
We may review content before or after publication.
We may remove, restrict, or decline content that:
Violates applicable law.
Violates these Terms.
Contains harassment or threats.
Discloses personal information without authorization.
Is fraudulent, misleading, or spam.
Infringes intellectual property rights.
Presents a credible safety concern.
Moderation may involve automated checks and human review.
We will provide explanations, notifications, or review opportunities where required by applicable law.

The Maraheb application, website, branding, logos, interface, software, and original content are owned by Maraheb or its respective licensors.
These materials may be protected by copyright, trademark, database, and other intellectual property laws.
Your use of Maraheb does not transfer ownership of these materials.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the application for lawful personal purposes, subject to these Terms and applicable law.
Without appropriate authorization, you must not:
Reproduce substantial portions of the application or its content.
Commercially redistribute protected listings or photographs.
Misrepresent Maraheb content as your own.
Remove copyright or attribution notices.
Reverse engineer protected software in violation of applicable law.
Use the Maraheb name or branding to mislead others about an affiliation.
Rights granted by mandatory law, including applicable software interoperability rights, remain unaffected.

Maraheb may link to third-party websites, maps, messaging applications, and external services.

These services operate independently and may impose their own terms and privacy policies.
Maraheb does not control the availability, security, pricing, or content of independent third-party services.

Your privacy is important to Maraheb.

- Account Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate account access when there is a legitimate reason, including:

Uninstalling the app does not automatically delete your account or information stored on our servers.

Maraheb provides travel information and AI-assisted planning tools for informational purposes.
To the extent permitted by law:

AI responses may be inaccurate or incomplete.
Third-party businesses may change their services without notice.
External websites or applications may become unavailable.
Travel conditions may change unexpectedly.

Maraheb does not guarantee that using a particular travel recommendation will produce a particular outcome.
Any express commitments made in a confirmed paid agreement remain enforceable according to their terms and applicable law.
Nothing in this section removes statutory guarantees or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
- Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Maraheb is not responsible for losses arising solely from circumstances outside its reasonable control, including independent changes made by third-party travel providers, unexpected restrictions on access to destinations, or failures of external services.
Users remain responsible for their own travel decisions and for verifying information where conditions may change.
Maraheb remains responsible for its own acts and omissions to the extent required by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:
Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Intentional misconduct where liability cannot legally be restricted.
Death or personal injury caused by negligence where exclusion is prohibited.
Mandatory consumer rights.
Any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
Any legally permitted limitation will be interpreted in accordance with applicable consumer protection requirements.
- Indemnification
If your unlawful conduct or material breach of these Terms causes a third-party claim against Maraheb, you may be responsible for losses or costs directly resulting from that conduct, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
This provision does not impose responsibility for events outside your control or for losses caused by Maraheb's own unlawful conduct.

Any invalid provision will be addressed in accordance with applicable law without expanding its effect beyond what is lawful.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any valid service-specific terms accepted by the user, govern the use of Maraheb.
A confirmed booking or paid service may have its own terms that supplement this document.
If a conflict arises, applicable mandatory law takes precedence.
No provision in these Terms limits a legal right or remedy that cannot be waived.
